"Hairy cow" live in highland areas with strong winds, low temperatures, high annual rainfall and a lack of food. It's hard to find another breed of livestock that would have existed in such a harsh environment

For centuries, these kind of animal remains unchanged. The first record of these cows were published in a book on cattle in 1885.



They can eat shrubs, as well as various coarse grass and fodder from which refuses any other cow.
